About Stephen L. Garrett.
Producer. Photographer. Editor. (Cyclist.)
Based in the Chicago area, I collaborate with directors, producers, and production companies to develop, shoot, and edit feature-length documentaries, series, and promotional films for organizations large and small, via my company EQB Films, LLC.
My unique video production career spans over 15 years and has taken me to locations across the US and to 17 countries as both a field producer and cinematographer. I’m able to slot myself into almost any production role and I have an understanding of and experience in each aspect of production, with particular talents in creative ideation, research translation, workflow management, and video editing.
I help academics, scientists, film directors, and non-profit leaders translate complex ideas into moving, effective stories.
My primary subject matter interests are: sustainability, climate change, regenerative systems, social justice, biodiversity conservation, poverty alleviation, and public health.
When I’m not at work, I might be out there somewhere pushing my limits on a bicycle.
